Sunny Leone booked for spreading obscenity


Indo-Canadian porn star turned Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has been booked by Dombivali police for posting vulgar content on web and social media. Sunny has been booked under sections 292, 292 A, 294 r/w 34 of the IPC besides being charged under Section 3 and 4 of Indian Representation of Women and IT Act.

The case was registered by a housewife Anjali Palan (30). She said in her complaint that while surfing net she has come across several obscene posts and pictures of Sunny Leone.

She too found objectionable content on the actor's website Sunneyleone.com. "Such posts poison the minds of people and especially children," she said in her complaint. The social activist alleged that by launching her own website, Sunny Leone is promoting sexuality in society which is very harmful. The website contains her porn videos, vulgar photos. Fearing that it would spoil the society, she knocked the door of law and lodged complaint against Sunny and all those who uploaded such obscene materials on her website.   

The Dombivili police transferred the case to the Cyber Crime cell of Thane police for further investigation into the matter.

Sunny who celebrated her 34th birthday recently was last seen in 'Ek Paheli Leela'. 

Sunil Shivarkar, senior police inspector of Ramnagar police said, "On the basis of complaint, we have registered an FIR against Leone and others and also case has been transferred to Thane Cyber Cell for further probe".
