Sunil Grover teams up with Kapil’s rival Krushna Abhishek for new show

Popular comedian-actor Sunil Grover, who left ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ following a major fall-out with its host, has joined hands with Kapil’s rival Krushna Abhishek for a new show. Sunil will be joined by ex-TKSS members Ali Asgar and Chandan Prabhakar, who also quit the show in solidarity with Sunil.

The new show is tentatively titled ‘Comedy Company’ and will also invite celebrity guests. It will be aired on Sony TV on which Kapil’s show is also telecast. Reports also stated that Preeti Simoes, former creative director of Kapil’s production banner K9, her sister Neeti, along with Sugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosle have also joined the new show.

“A new comedy show with Sunil is definitely happening. Ali, Chandan and Sugandha (Mishra), basically all those who left The Kapil Sharma Show, are going to be a part of it. Krushna is most probably joining them. He is yet to confirm, things are going back and forth as of now but there are really high chances of this collaboration happening,” a source from the channel was quoted in indianexpress.com.

An official confirmation in this regard is yet to come though, and if it indeed happens, then the new development will be a huge blow to Kapil’s show, whose TRP has already dropped after Sunil and others walked out. Kapil had even expressed his desire to have Sunil back on the show, but the latter seems to have made up his mind.

Meanwhile, Krushna and Kapil’s rivalry is well-known. After Kapil left his show on Colors TV, Krushna and Bharti Singh took it over as ‘Comedy Nights Live’. However, Krushan recently praised Kapil and said that he was open to working with him.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that ‘TKSS’ may go off air eventually after the new show comes.
