Suchitra Sen’s condition serious

Iconic actress Suchitra Sen’s condition again deteriorates. She was put under non-invasive ventilator support. The breathing problem of the veteran actress increased. Doctors are highly concerned about her health and closely monitoring her health.  

"Suchitra Sen's breathing problem has increased leading to dipping of her oxygen saturation, needing non-invasive ventilatory support," said a medical bulletin issued by Belle Vue Clinic, where she is admitted. She is admitted in the critical care unit (CCU) of a nursing home

Sen, 82 on Sunday night rushed to the CCU after her condition deteriorated and the heartbeat became irregular.

"However, her other vital parameters like heart rate and blood pressure remain stable. She continues to take light diet," said the statement.

Two chest specialists is looking after her. a team of doctors lead by a cardiologist and chest physician has been formed to closely monitor her condition.

On December 23, Suchitra Sen was admitted to the nursing home after she complained of breathlessness.

Suchitra Sen began her career with ‘Shesh Kothai’ in 1952. She was honoured with National Award for her performance in the 1955 for ‘Devdas’.

She completely cut herself from the world when in 1978 her movie, ‘Pronoy Pasha’ with Soumitra Chatterjee flopped. She only meets her daughter Moon Moon Sen and granddaughters Riya and Raima Sen and selected people.

 In 2005, she conferred with Dadasaheb Phale award but Suchitra Sen refused the prestigious award as she was not keen to make a public appearance.
