SRK‘s hip-hop music video and a wax statue at Madame Tussauds

Shahrukh Khan is all set to take the small screen by storm with the third season of Kaun Banega Crorepati starting on 22 January 2007. The promos are on air and SRK is trying his best to woo the audiences with his on-screen antics. Shahrukh has taken over as host from none other than the bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. Hence he has tough competition to live up to the image that Bachchan has created with his unique style on the show. Now SRK is setting up his own style, he will soon be recording a hip-hop music video to promote Kaun Banega Crorepati.
This is the first time that Shahrukh will be seen in a music video and it was he who had come with the idea of making a hip-hop music video. The music video is titled ‘Kar le kar le tu aek sawal’ and is three minutes and forty seconds long. The song has been conceptualized, sung and choreographed by Ganesh Hegde, the music has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and the lyrics have been penned by Shabbir. The song will be aired on 22 January itself prior to the show. SRK was very excited with the idea of doing a music video and opted for a new and different look. Ganesh Hegde says “Yes we are currently shooting for the video.” Ganesh has also done the rendition and claims that it is a whacky and wild video. SRK is also seen grooving to the hip-hop music in a completely new style.

After SRK took over KBC from Amitabh, he is now set to also have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds like Amitabh. SRK surely seems to be following closely on the heels of Bachchan senior. Shahrukh is only the third bollywood star to have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds after Amitabh and Aishwarya Rai. SRK’s statue will be unveiled in March in London at Madame Tussauds wax museum and he will join some of Hollywood’s top celebrities. A source claims “It’s true that the authorities at Madame Tussauds contacted SRK to be a part of the of the wax statues at the museum and he was extremely pleased to be a part of it.” SRK will be seen at the unveiling of his wax figure in March and is curious to see what his wax counterpart will look like. However the details as to what SRK will wear for the replica to be created etc have still to be decided.
