Sridevi bans daughter Jhanvi from clicking & uploading selfies

Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi Kapoor is ready to enter Bollywood and her gorgeous mom is taking a keen interest in grooming her. She is a loving mother, but at the same time is strict and protective and wants Jhanvi to only focus on her much-talked-about debut.

A few months ago, Sridevi had warned Jhanvi against dating alleged boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya, grandson of politician Sushil Kumar Shinde, or mingling with any other male friends. Now, the ‘English Vinglish’ actress has issued a new diktat.

Shridevi has asked both her daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi not to click selfies and upload them on social media like Instagram, a report in a popular entertainment portal cited a source as saying. The obedient kids seem to have followed their mama’s instructions, as a peek into Jhanvi’s Instagram page revealed that she has quit posting selfies. Rather, her recent uploads are proper pictures and not amateur clicks.

Talks of Jhanvi making her Bollywood debut have been doing the rounds for some time now. Speaking about it, Sridevi had once said, “Every child wants to be an actor. And there is nothing wrong with that. But it is not an easy job. It requires a lot of hard work and dedication. If they are ready to put in that effort, then why not?”

Reportedly, Karan Johar will launch Jhanvi opposite Tiger Shroff in ‘Student of the Year 2’, the sequel of Karan’s 2012 directorial that marked the debut of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan.

However, Jhanvi’s producer father Boney Kapoor was quoted as saying, “Yes, Karan has been talking to us about a film for Jhanvi and we’ve given consent. But we don’t know which project it would be. Since Karan has recently acquired the remake rights of ‘Sairat’ it is being presumed that our daughter would be launched in this project.”
