15 yrs of Cannes: Sonam patches up with Aishwarya

Sonam Kapoor congratulates Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for completing 15 years of Cannes going. Wishing Aishwarya, Sonam said in a video, "Congratulations Ash on 15 years of going to Cannes. I am sure this year is going to be as incredible as all the years before".

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been the brand ambassador of the international cosmetic brand L’Oreal for a long time but few years back when Sonam Kapoor was appointed as the face of L’Oreal for a new product, the two beauties indulged in a tiff and Sonam went on to say, “Aishwarya is an aunty from another generation.” Ash maintained a signified silence on the matter.

Now, Sonam extended olive branch to Aishwarya and buried the past hatchet.

Aishwarya and Sonam will represent L'Oreal Paris at the upcoming 69th edition of the film gala which is going to place next week while another face of L’Oreal actress Katrina Kaif will miss the gala due to her "prior" commitments.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expected to represent her new film, ‘Sarbjit’ at the Cannes film festival. At an event, when asked about her choice of outfit for the upcoming Cannes film festival, the actress, dazzled in blue off shoulder outfit said, “I think it is a bit in advance as I would be meeting you all soon (referring to promotions of Sarbjit).”

Ash will attended the Cannes film festival on May 13 and 14. “Laying out the wardrobe is too early. I am girl on the go. But I have never spent sleepless nights planning the Cannes red carpet,” Aishwarya said.

Aishwarya always earned accolades for her choice of attires at the prestigious Cannes film festival and it has been 15 long years of association. “The experience has been different year after year. It has been 15 years, I am thankful to L’Oréal for this. It’s a great exchange of ideas with different people you meet. I am glad I got opportunity to share my thoughts and work at this prestigious festival. I feel humbled and privileged to speak there, represent Indian cinema and be a member of film fraternity. It has been a precious experience,” she said.
