Sonam Kapoor to romance Dulquer Salmaan in ‘The Zoya Factor’?

A total brand-new pairing is set to ablaze the silver screen, Sonam Kapoor opposite Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan. As per the latest report, Sonam Kapoor and Dulquer Salmaan have been roped in for the forthcoming project, ‘The Zoya Factor’. The movie is an adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name.

"It's an interesting character and Dulquer has liked the script. While he has committed to the project he is yet to sign on the dotted line," a source is quoted as telling.

If Dulquer sign on the dotted line then he will be seen in the role of a captain of the Indian cricket team.

‘The Zoya Factor’ will be directed by Abhishek Sharma, of ‘Tere Bin Laden’ fame. In August last year, Sonam in her tweet confirmed being part of the movie. “Super excited to work with amazing sister duo, Aarti and Pooja Shetty, with the brilliant Abhishek Sharma on Anuja Chauhan’s Zoya factor (sic),” she had tweeted.

The novel revolves around a girl named Zoya Singh Solanki, born exactly at the same moment when India won the 1983 cricket world cup. Post the big victory, the Indian cricket team starts considering her a lucky charm leading up to the 2010 world cup win.

Rucha Pathak of Fox Star Studios, who is producing the film, neither confirmed nor denied about Dulquer playing the male lead. She said, "We are yet to finalise the cast and will soon make the announcement."

Meanwhile, Dulquer has wrapped up his first Bollywood project, ‘Karwan’, co-starring Irrfan and Mithila Palkar. While Sonam Kapoor is busy promoting her next outing ‘Pad Man’ and busy shooting for ‘Veera Di Wedding’.
