Sonam Kapoor signs up with Hollywood's United Talent Agency
Toeing the footsteps of contemporaries Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, Bollywood actress and fashionista Sonam Kapoor is also looking Westwards. The ‘Neerja’ actress has been signed on by one of the most popular American talent agencies United Talent Agency.
Sonam shared the news on Instagram by posting a screen-shot of the news article by Hollywood website deadline.com. “Super duper chuffed to sign on with United Talent Agency. I know this is going to be an epic partnership,” she wrote with the image.
UTA manages the work of renowned Hollywood actors like Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Johnny Depp, Ross Lynch, Angelina Jolie, Oscar Isaac, Martin Freeman, Harrison Ford, Owen Wilson, Michael Douglas, Gwyneth Paltrow and numerous others. The agency’s clientele is pretty impressive.
While Priyanka is signed with talent agency William Morris Endeavor or WME, Creative Artists Agency or CAA manages Deepika. The ‘Tamasha’ actress will make her Hollywood debut in January next year with Vin Diesel starrer ‘xXx: The Return of Xander Cage’. Priyanka, who has already featured in American TV series ‘Quantico’ and shooting its second season, will also make her Hollywood debut with a negative role in ‘Baywatch’ in May next year.
Sonam, meanwhile has denied reports that she will be starring in any Hollywood project anytime soon. The actress took to Twitter on Friday to clarify that she has not signed any movie. “Just to make it clear I haven’t signed any movie… Nor have they been offered to me,” she tweeted.
She will soon begin preparing for her next Bollywood project ‘Veere Di Wedding’ co-produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. The chick flick also stars Kareena Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. Earlier, this year, Sonam also featured in British rock band Coldplay’s music video ‘Hymn For The Weekend’.
