Sonam Kapoor responding to swine flu treatment, recovering


Sonam Kapoor, who is being treated at Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai is recovering. She is responding to the treatment of the dreaded disease and is on the way of recovery. She has been shifted from Rajkot hospital to Mumbai after she was tested positive for swine flu.

She was flown to Mumbai in an air-ambulance and is undergoing treatment.

"We are releasing this statement to set the record straight. Sonam has been detected with swine flu but it's under control," Sonam's publicists said in a statement.

"Sonam has been detected with swine fly but it is under control. She has been shifted to a hospital in Mumbai and she is showing signs of speedy recovery. Hopefully, she should be back at work soon. We thank all her fans and industry alike for their love and support," a statement from her spokesperson said. 

Sonam afflicted with the disease when she was shooting in Rajkot, Gujarat for Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. During shooting, she complained of fever.

Not only Sonam Kapoor but Vidhu Vinod Chopra, his wife Anupama Chopra and son Agni too were also attacked by swine flu.

Anupama tweeted confirming the news, saying: Folks, I have been felled by swine flu. So no reviews this week. Do send me yours. Tell me what I missed!

The son and the father have been admitted to Jaslok Hospital while Anupama is said to be recovering at home.
