Sonam recently shared pictures from their London trip and revealed how Anand wanted to propose to her at the Oxford library. “So Anand didn’t get to propose to me where he was supposed to as he got excited and proposed much before, so he tried to recreate his idea of proposing to me in the Oxford library. (My favourite place is a library!),” she captioned a picture.

In an interview with the Filmfare, Anand Ahuja had shared how they make their long-distance marriage work. He had revealed, “When it comes to marriage, small things matter a lot. We eat meals together, even if we are in different time zones, on Skype. We also actively make sure that we don’t go over two weeks without seeing each other.”

In an interaction with MensXP, Anand has revealed, "It's funny. Sonam is always messing on my plans. Last year, she had canned right after the wedding. We didn't do a honeymoon. We did a really short one in Japan.” He further went on to add, "This year, we were again planning to go to Japan but then her 'Zoya Factor' schedule is there and it has changed a bit. We are not going in June, but we will go after her birthday. We are so fortunate that with our schedules, we travel so much and get to spend time. We will be in London for the anniversary. London is a little break for her. We will surely do a Japan trip at the end of the year."

Recalling their first date, Sonam had once shared, “When I met Anand for the first time, I was wearing sneakers. According to Anand, I was wearing very odd and old-fashioned shoes... Looking at my sneakers, he immediately quizzed ‘Arre yaar! Yeh kya sneakers phene huye hai tumne? (What kind of sneakers are you wearing?’. Then he requested me to stop wearing these sneakers and he immediately ordered for some good brand shoes for me, which were indeed very expensive as well.”

Here’s wishing Anand and Sonam a very happy and successful wedding ahead!
