Sonakshi Sinha will star in ‘Dabangg 3’, confirms Arbaaz Khan

Previous reports stating that Sonakshi Sinha won’t be a part of Salman Khan starrer ‘Dabangg 3’ and that Parineeti Chopra has replaced her, turns out to be false. Producer Arbaaz Khan has confirmed that Sonakshi is very much a part of the third instalment of the hit action movie franchise.

Arbaaz, who will be directing ‘Dabangg 3’, has however hinted that the upcoming film might have two leading ladies.

Quashing all rumours about the junior shotgun being dropped from the third film in the series, the 48-year-old filmmaker told a leading daily, “Sonakshi is going to be a part of 'Dabangg 3', in what capacity that is to be seen when the script is ready. But there might also be a possibility of another heroine in the film."

It appears that Parineeti being cast in ‘Dabangg 3’ may not be entirely untrue. Although the name of the other heroine has not been revealed yet, one can hope that it would be the ‘Ishaqzaade’ actress.

‘Dabangg 3’ is currently in the pre-production stage and scripting is still going on. The movie is likely to go on floors mid-2017.

In the meantime, the lead pair of the project is busy with their respective projects. Sonakshi is awaiting the release of her film ‘Akira’ which is slated to hit screens on September 2. She will also be seen in John Abraham starrer ‘Force 2’ which is in post-production stage, and is also filming ‘Noor’, based on Pakistani writer Saba Imtiaz's 2014 novel, ‘Karachi, You're Killing Me’.

Salman, on the other hand, is busy with his popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss 10’, after which he will shoot for his next film ‘Tubelight’ to be directed by Kabir Khan.
