Sonakshi Sinha to learn martial arts for AR Murugadoss's next

After playing mostly soft romantic roles in her films, Sonakshi Sinha may do a ‘Lara Croft’. The pretty actor who recently celebrated her 27th birthday will be part of a woman oriented action film. For the film Sonakshi will be teaming up again with the director of her latest film ‘Holiday’, A R Murgadoss. Noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh had first broken the news some time ago.  He tweeted, “Update: Sonakshi Sinha to learn hardcore action/martial arts for AR Murugadoss/Fox Star film. Will undergo 30-day workshop before shooting.”  Sonakshi who played a boxer in ‘Holiday’ will get to do some real heavy duty action this time.

The yet to be titled film is set to go to the floors in the month of November and will take 3 months to wrap up.  The film will be made under the banner of Fox Star Studios. Aalif Surti, Chief Creative Officer of the production house said, "Murugadoss is a superb storyteller who makes entertaining films which have a pan-Indian appeal. He is the only director whose films have been consistently successful in three languages --Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.” The director is happy with the development of the new project.  Murgadoss said, "I have a great working relationship with the production house and I'm excited to collaborate on a Bollywood project with them. My film with Sonakshi is based on a story which is close to my heart and has a very personal and powerful message for all Indian women."  He also hinted that the role will have shades of what Angelina Jolie did in the ‘Lara Croft’ films in Hollywood.

Sonakshi will be playing the role of a college student who is also adept in forms of hand to hand combat. The actor already has a stunning figure and high fitness level. She was recently seen riding a horse by herself in the sets of another film. But this particular role will require Sonakshi to undergo a 30 day workshop followed by rigorous training. It has been learnt that her actions scenes will feature traditional martial arts form seen in Kerala. Sonakshi has already confirmed her participation in the film in a Twitter post, “Its official! My next is a woman oriented Action film dirctd by the genius behind Ghajini & Holiday @ARMurugadoss! We start in november :).”  The rest of the cast is yet to be confirmed but it is already looking like an exciting project.
