Sonakshi Sinha blocked Sona Mahapatra after Twitter fight

For some days, Sonakshi Sinha is in the limelight for Justin Bieber concert in India. After Kailash Kher and Armaan Malik, now singer Sona Mahapatra joined in the fight. The singer criticized the ‘Noor’ actress for being "disdainful" to musicians.

Taking a dig at the actress, Sona wrote#“Dear Sonakshi, if you weren’t ‘performing’ at the Bieber concert like you now proclaim, then u could have just said so & not talked about  your ‘art’, your ‘dreams’ & your rights on the live performance stage. Also insulting a composer & live artist who you claimed literally ran after you to ‘collaborate’ with them. You actually laughed at them & talked down to them, instead of telling the truth? Gracious!” –

She further added, “Dear lady, you were condescending to real musicians & singers all through & continue to be with this juvenile ‘face saving’ post now. SAD.”

It all started when with the report of Sonakshi Sinha performing at Jutin Bieber first-ever concert in India surfaced on media. Kailash Kher criticized the actress for considering the offer.

Displeased with Sonakshi Sinha’s performance at the concert, Kher wrote, "I read somewhere that a Canadian singer Justin Bieber is coming to India, and actress Sonakshi will perform at the gig. The news was cute, but quite a lie. It doesn't give a good message internationally”.

"They (people from foreign shores) will think that Sonakshi must be a big singer in India. And then she will get concert offers from Canada, and then probably Sonakshi will laugh them off saying 'I am not a singer but an actor'," Kailash said, over phone from Mumbai about Sonakshi, who made her debut as a singer in 2015 with single Ishqholic, and also judged singing reality show, Indian Idol Junior.

He added, "Whenever any singer from the West comes to India, we get an actor on board to match their level. We don't get singer for another singer, but actor... Event managers and producers of entertainment industry are so scared."

The Indian award-winning singer feels people give more value to actors than singers in India.

"Live performances are thought to be more valuable around the world, not actors, but not in India... Indians are very emotional and that is why sometimes they miss out on logic while watching a live gig."

"The organisers don't consider crowd's sensibilities (while deciding on the acts in a live gig), and only go for a popular face. Often actors just come and say 'It is nice to be here'."

Agreeing with Kailash, Armaan, 21, said, “Agree with @Kailashkher sir! Actors are actors & singers are singers. Leave the stage & mic to us, that’s our playground not yours.”

Sonakshi, 29, responded, saying, “A secure artiste would always encourage another artiste to grow their skills and follow their dreams. Art in any form should not be suppressed.”

Armaan has also crooned the title track of Sonakshi’s latest release ‘Noor’. Sonakshi slammed Armaan, saying he wanted her to sing for him. “And this is definitely not the same tune you were singing when you wanted me to sing for you,” Sonakshi wrote.

The ‘Bol Do Na Zara’ singer, however, corrected the actor and said it was not him but composer-borther Amaal Malik, who wanted to work with her. “You are mistaking me for @AmaalMallik he is the composer,” he wrote.
