Soha Ali Khan to clash with hubby Kunal Khemu at the box-office

Bollywood actors Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemmu have been married for a little over six months now and their respective films are already set for a possible clash at the box office.

Soha’s first film after her marriage ‘31st October’ which also stars Vir Das is scheduled to release on October 30. On the other hand, ‘Guddu Ki Gun’in which Kunal will be seen romancing Bengali actress Payel Sarkar, is also slated to release on the same day.

However, the ‘Rang De Basanti’ actress is least worried about the two films competing at the box office, as both the films belong to different genres. She rather finds it exciting.

“I think it will be exciting. We have been married for six months, we need some excitement! October 30 is a sensible time to release our film because it is called ‘31st October’ and Friday (Oct 30) is close to that date,” Soha told IANS.

“I am not scared of him (Kunal) or his ‘Guddu Ki Gun’. I think that there is enough appetite in the industry for both films and they are very different in genre,” the 36-year-old actress observed

While ‘31st October’ is based on the aftermath of 1984 riots following late prime minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination, Kunal’s ‘Guddu Ki Gun’ is out and out comedy.

Soha will be seen playing a strong female in the forthcoming film by National Award winning director Shivaji Lotan Patil. “The film is about a family on the night of the Indira Gandhi assassination and the Sikh riots that followed in Delhi. The woman’s role in the film is very primitive,” she said. ‘31st October’ is said to be the first Hindi film based on the subject.

Soha will be again seen in Sunny Deol’s ‘Ghayal 2’ which is, as of now, set to release on November 13, while Kunal’s ‘Bhaag Johnny’ releases later this month.
