Smriti Irani breaks down visiting her first home after 35 years

Actress turned politician Smriti Irani visited her first home in Gurugram after 35 years and she turned emotional on spotting that her old house where she lived with her family has turned into a dry-cleaning shop. But all her pain wiped away when she spend some quality time with her neighbours with whom she shared some wonderful memories.

"It is painful, tough and courageous to see a place you once called 'Home', now no longer there. But life is nothing more than a journey of bitter sweet memories," Ekta captioned one of her posts.

Smriti Irani responded, “For sure @ektaravikapoorRewinding time and walking down memory lane- quite literally. HOME se Mumbai tak samay badla, ghar bhi badle. But relationships and memories have stayed strong”.

Smriti Irani also took a rickshaw ride to her favourite chaat shop and also visited an old ration shop where she used to buy grocery and other items.

Smriti Irani spend time with her neighbours, who are more than a family and had a wonderful time with them remembering the old incidents. 

Smriti Irani, who started her career as a model got her big break when Ekta Kapoor offered her 'Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi' and since then there is no looking back. Smriti also made her foot firm in politics. She is currently holding the post of Union textile minister.
