Simran: Kangana Ranaut is a delight to watch in ‘Pinjra Tod Ke’

After the first song ‘Lagdi Hai Thai’, the makers of ‘Simran’ released the second song, titled, ‘Pinjra Tod Ke’. The song shows free spirited Kangana dancing her heart out. The song is sure to bring smile in one’s face.

The song penned by Priya Saraiya and sung by Sunidhi Chauhan shows Kangana Ranaut living her life to the fullest. She is today’s woman and lives life on her own terms.

The lyrics, “pinjra todd ke udd jaana hai, baahein khol ke udd jana hai” indicates Kangana is a free soul and least cares about the outside world.

Composed by Sachin Jigar, Sunidhi Chauhan beautifully brings the feel of the song. It is delight to watch Kangana Ranaut enjoying and managing her life.

Kangana plays a Gujarati NRI named Praful Patel in the film. She plays a housekeeper who enters the world of crime to pay off her debts. ‘Simran’ is said to be inspired by the real-life story of US nurse Sandeep Kaur aka Bombshell Bandit, who was imprisoned for robbing banks to pay off her gambling debts.

The movie went on floors in mid-2016 and has been majorly shot in the US. ‘Simran’ also stars Sohum Shah, Rupinder Nagra, Esha Tewari and Aneesha Joshi, and is scheduled to release on September 15.
