Silent march for Kathua and Unnao victims: Twinkle, Helen, Kalki hit the road


The recent incidents of gang-rape and murder of girl child in Khatua and Unnao lead thousands of Mumbaikars lead a silent march seeking justice for the victims. Along with the common people, celebrities also joined in the march.

Twinkle Khanna along with her son Aarav, Rajkummar Rao with girlfriend Patralekha, Kalki Kochelin, Sameera Reddy, Tara Sharma, Kiran Rao, Aditi Rao Hydari, veteran actress Helen, music director Vishal Dadlani, Anushka Manchanda, and Sona Mohapatra among others hit the road. They all gathered at Bandra.

Bandra’s silent protest saw people holding placards which read, ‘Justice for the daughters of India #Unnao #Kathua.” “Once upon a time... there was humanity.” “She is my daughter #Unnao #Kathua.” “JUSTICE”.

Aditi Rao Hydari’s placard read, “Politicians/Police/Court Help Citizens Not Rapists/Murderers.”

Kiran Rao’s placard reads, “JUSTICE”.

In two different incidents in Kathua in Jammu and Kashmir and another in Unnao in Uttar Pradesh, eight-year-old girl was gang-raped and murdered and the girl child in Unnao was sexually assaulted.
