Sidharth Malhotra to play time travelling in Karan Johar's next

‘Ek Villain’ seems to have done a lot for Bollywood’s bankable actor Sidharth Malhotra, who seems to have bagged quite a number of movies this year. It is not only his mentor KJo, who seems to be “pushing” him around, but several other banners also seem to have noticed his potential and are willing to work with Sid. The year 2015 already looks fruity for the actor. Here’s why.

Sidharth has recently signed three films under three major banners. The first on the list is ‘Brothers’ with veteran actor Akshay Kumar. ‘Brothers’ is a remake of the much loved and appreciated Gavin O’ Connor’s Hollywood film ‘Warriors’. It is a sports film about two estranged brothers whose entrance into a mixed martial arts tournament that forces them to come to terms with their past and each other.

Next, he will be seen playing a nocturnal superhero in ‘Bhavesh Joshi’ directed by Vikramaditya Motwani.

The last but not the least of the lot is a yet-to-be named twisty love-tale of a time traveler. The film is co-produced by Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. Nitya Mehra is the director of the film. This is his first directorial venture.

Ritesh confirmed the news, "Yes, Sidharth is on board and Karan too. Karan is a good friend and we've been talking about collaborating on a film for quite some time now." After a discussion with Sidharth, Karan also came onboard. "He heard about this film from Sid and asked us for the script. He loved it so much that he said he would be happy to get involved in any capacity. Farhan and I have never co-produced before, Karan is our first partner."

“There was a lot of speculation about the cast but this is the first time we are confirming a name. The leading lady should be locked in another four-five days and the film will roll by April 2015," Ritesh pointed out.

Not only the actor has bagged films, but also he seems to have won the hearts of many. Only recently, at a movie celebration party, we heard Salman Bhai was heard telling a TV channel, "Yeh hira hai, pata nahin kahan chupa tha. Earlier he may not got enough credit for his work but with Ek Villain he is going to shine and will get more noticed."

Well..we do not know if it is Salman’s prediction or KJo’s pushing around, that is working for the actor..but we do know that Sid has a lot in his kitty right now. Way to go Superboy!
