‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ poster: Ayushmann, Bhumi Pednekar looks simple


After ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar teamed up for the second time for ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’. Aanand L Rai released the first poster of the film. He wrote# Seems they're almost there... coming to you on 1st September!

‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ directed by RS Prasanna is said to be a spiritual remake of the Tamil film ‘Kalyana Samayal Sadham’. Bhumi Pednekar has shed extra weight and looks the next-door girl in the film poster and Ayushmann Khurrana was casually dressed.

Ayushmann Khurrana also tweeted about the film poster, “#ShubhMangalSaavdhan – ‘stand up’ for love. Releasing 1st Sept 2017. @psbhumi @aanandlrai @rs_prasanna @cypplOfficial @ErosNow.”

Bhumi Pednekar also tweeted: “Making a Shubh entry into your Mangal lives on 1st Sep 2017.Be Saavdhan, we are #standingupforlove #ShubhMangalSaavdhan1stSEP @ayushmannk.”

Director Prasanna had told previously that he’s “extremely blessed to be working with Aanand”.

“He has great admiration for southern filmmakers such as K. Balachander and Mani Ratnam, and also for actors like Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, and R Madhavan. He constantly keeps mentioning them in his conversations,” Prasanna had said, describing the working experience so far with Aanand.

“I find it reassuring to work with someone who understands and appreciates southern cinema because I represent that industry,” he added.

Few months ago Aanand had shared a picture from the sets in Delhi. He had captioned it as, “Shubh ho… Roll sound camera action ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ shoot begins. God is kind. Congrats R.S. Prasanna, Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi Pednekar, Krishika Lulla.” Ayushmann too joined in saying, “Taking off to Delhi for a joyride called ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’. Rolling tomorrow. Aanand L Rai, Bhumi Pednekar and R.S. Prasanna.” In her post, Bhumi wrote, “And it’s started. Major love and excitement team #shubhmangalsaavdhan New stories in New Delhi.”

This film talks about the less talked about and sensitive issue, every male is secretly scared of, and it’s erectile dysfunction.

Presented by Eros International and Colourful Yellow Productions, the film is slated to hit theatres on Sep 01.
