‘Shootout at Wadala’ mints 20 crores in two days

Sanjay Gupta’s directed and John Abraham starrer, ‘Shootout at Wadala’ which was released last Friday has been able to make a good business at the box-office. Everybody praised John Abraham’s role and the positive words for the movie from critics and the audience saw house full board in many circuits of India. The movie has been able to earn 20 crores in two days

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has tweeted about the business of the film. He tweets, "#ShootoutAtWadala Sat *estimates* 9.75 cr to 10 cr. Marginal drop in few circuits. Super-strong in several others... Fri was 10.1 cr."

To recover the cost of making, the movie need to go a good business for one more week otherwise to recover the cost and to make profit would become impossible. The film was highly promoted and this added to the expenditure to a great margin.

The film is a multi-starrer and it includes big names from the industry like John Abraham, Tusshar Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Sonu Sood, Manoj Bajpayee and Anil Kapoor in the lead roles. Apart from them, the film has three item numbers by Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Chaudhary and Sunny Leone.

Here John plays a very strong role of a gangster, Manya Surve. The movie is based on a real incident of first registered encounter of Mumbai police.

Taran Adarsh also tweeted about the movie opening in overseas “#ShootoutAtWadala opens at No 11 position in UK. Despite 18 certificate by British censors. That says it all!” Taran tweeted.

“Another surprise! #ShootoutAtWadala opens very well in USA too. Fri $ 55,000. Good start!” he added.

Today being Sunday,‘Shootout at Wadala’ is expected to increase it’s box-office number.
