Shashank Vyas aka Jagya walks out of ‘Balika Vadhu’

The well known character Jagya aka Shashank Vyas of Colors’ ‘Balika Vadhu’ is apparently leaving the show. The actor has signed the papers and he is currently serving his three months notice period. Shashank Vyas is associated with the soap for more than five years.

According to a report, Shashank wants to move ahead in his career. He feels he has given everything to the role of Jagya. He played both positive and negative role in the soap and there is nothing new to explore. He desires to do something more challenging.

"Shashank has expressed a desire to try something new as he feels that he has slipped into a comfort zone playing the same part for so long. He has explored all shades - positive and negative - as Jagya and now, wants to take up something more challenging," quoted a source.

Since its inception, ‘Balika Vadhu’ has been able to hold the audience interest. It is maintaining good TRPs although the show suffered many replacements.

After Pratyusha Banerjee (Anandi), Sidharth Shukla (Shiv) and Sargun Mehta (Ganga), Shashank Vyas is the fourth member to be replaced.

The show will see an interesting turns with Mannu (Harsh Mehta) elopes and getting married to his love. Jagya and Ganga (Aasiya Kazi) attempts to stop him but fails.

The source added, “While on one hand Mannu will get married, on the other he will gradually try to find out about Nimboli (Gracy Goswami) and Anandi’s (Toral Rasputra) relation. With his wife trying to reconnect the incidents of past, where she was saved from being a victim of child marriage by Anandi, she will realize that Nimboli is the same kid whom Akhiraj had kidnapped.”
