Shahrukh to promote 'Happy New Year' on Salman's show

Television shows are currently one of the most popular platforms of film promotion. Due to the massive reach of television, film stars regularly appear on popular shows to promote their upcoming releases. One of the most anticipated films of this year is the Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’. SRK is pulling out all stops to make this film a huge success.

He and his co-stars will begin a series of concerts in UK, USA and Canada to promote the film overseas. But it will be interesting to see how SRK decides to promote the film in India. At the time when the promotion of ‘HNY’ will be on full swing, the Salman Khan hosted reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ will also be on air. Is SRK willing to promote his film on Salman’s show? Recently there has been some speculation regarding this issue.

When asked by reporters recently, SRK said that he has no problems in doing that. He said, “That will be decided by the marketing team. But given an opportunity and if everything permits, I would definitely go for that. It is very gracious of Salman bhai and 'Bigg Boss' that they have thought of me," However SRK also threw a word of caution, “But due to some reason if I don’t go then please don’t take it as a negative.”

The music of the film was released on 15th September and was telecasted over the internet via live streaming. The music of the film has been composed by composer duo Vishal and Shekhar. So far only two songs from the film have been released, ‘Indiawale’ and ‘Manwa Lage’ and both has been received positively by the listeners. SRK has developed a muscular eight- pack abs look for the film and it has generated quite a buzz. Shahrukh Khan has been praised for his level of dedication at the age of 49.

The superstar has also come out in support of his co-star Deepika Padukone after she criticized a leading daily for publishing an objectionable story about her. At the music launch of ‘HNY’, he said, "Let's not make that a conversational topic as many girls are present here in the event. Whatever Deepika tweeted I do support and all the cast of HNY will support that. We don't have the guts to do what she has done but we support her. We all feel for her. We should not trivialise the issue.”
