Shahrukh gives Salman's invitation a pass

Bollywood is full of love stories and friendships, but one can certainly not forget the enemities. There are a lot of famous stars in Bollywood who just cannot stand each other and actually make it abundantly clear to the public as well! One such really popular hate relationship is that of Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Their hatred extends back over a decade. There were rumours that both of them had patched up, but it certainly does not look like the chapter is closed on their enemity.

According to some sources, Salman Khan, who owns the Mumbai Heroes, sent an invite to SRK for the Celebrity Cricket League match, despite SRK being his rival for so long. But SRK decided to give this invitation a pass and decided to grace the University Cricket Championship with his presence instead. While this might seem to some to be a mere time- appointment problem, there are a lot of people who think that the issue runs deeper. Did SRK cold shoulder Salman on purpose? Did he actually mean to insult the star?

When interviewed about this, SRK just said "I think there are so many stars in CCL, ...I don't think they need a smaller star like me". Ouch. That does not seem like a statement from a man who turned the invitation down for genuine reasons. What is causing this new wave of hatred between the two actors? One can never know!

SRK and Salman Khan's hatred is something of a legend in Bollywood. There was a time when both the actors were really close- they were almost brothers. Both of them have done many movies together as well. Both these actors have actively hated each other since they had a run in on the set of Devdas, when SRK tried to step in between Salman and Aishwarya, who had recently split. This turned nasty and both of them have been going back and forth ever since. Salman is known to have said that they are not friends and they can never be expected to be friends, ever again. Things got worse during Kareena Kapoor's birthday bash in 2008, and they got worse when SRK turned down a cameo in Salman's movie, Main aur Mrs Khanna. They patch up, or rather pretend like they patch up, but the fight keeps coming up again. All we can do is to wait and see what the next chapter of this saga is going to be.
