Shahrukh Khan had a wonderful meeting with Christopher Nolan and he shared picture of the meeting. “My Fanboy moment. Inspiring to hear Mr.Nolan & Ms.Tacita Dean talk of the virtues of celluloid as an artist’s medium. Thanks, @shividungarpur for having me over”, King Khan wrote.

Kamal Haasan had shared his picture with the acclaimed filmmaker with a post that read, “Met Mr.Christopher Nolan. Apologized for seeing Dunkirk in the digital format and in return am sending Hey Ram in digital format for him to see. Was surprised to know he had seen Paapanaasam”.

Christopher Nolan is on a three-day trip to India along with visual artist Tacita Dean to fight a battle to save celluloid films in India. He is all praise of Satyajit Ray’s ‘Pather Panchali’.

The 47-year-old director also spoke about preserving the traditional format for future generation.

“The film culture is always developing in ways we can’t predict. The importance of this discussion about films is about preserving it as an option for future filmmakers. We can’t say who is going to use or who is not. But one of the things worth pointing out is that films as an acquisition medium is still vastly superior to digital imaging technology. Even if you put out a DCP (Digital Cinema Package),” he said.
