Shahrukh Khan undergoes knee surgery in Mumbai, advised rest

Superstar Shahrukh Khan was operated today. He successfully underwent arthroscopic surgery for knee and advised 3-4 days rest. Shahrukh, who was busy shooting for ‘Raees’ was operated at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai today.

Dr Sanjay Desai, who operated on King Khan was quoted as saying, "SRK has undergone arthroscopic surgery of the left knee at Breach Candy hospital. Mr Khan has been suffering from repeated pain and swelling of left knee over the last several months.

Today's surgery confirms chondral wear of the patella, which is due to repeated injuries over the last few years. Based on today's arthroscopic evaluation, future management will be planned. He has recovered well and is likely to be discharged tomorrow."  

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also tweets about Shahrukh’s operation, “Shah Rukh Khan underwent arthroscopic surgery of left knee today. The doctor has advised SRK complete rest for 3-4 days.”

Shahrukh Khan will return to work after couple of days post discharge from hospital.

Last year, Shahrukh Khan had suffered an injury while shooting for Farah Khan's ‘Happy New Year’.
