Shahrukh Khan to do underwater stunt in Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’

Rohit Shetty and action stunts go hand in hand, and so is the case with his next film ‘Dilwale’ where Shahrukh Khan will be seen doing an underwater action sequence.

The team of ‘Dilwale’ is making preparations for the shooting of the underwater scene in Mauritius. “Rohit and his team are looking forward to making the pre-shoot arrangements in place before the lead cast of the film reach Mauritius for the action-packed second schedule,” a source from the film’s unit revealed.

The movie features Shahrukh, Kajol, Varun Dhawan and Kirti Sanon. Shahrukh has just wrapped up the shooting for Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Fan’ and is currently filming ‘Raees’. He will soon be joining the ‘Diwale’ team in the Island nation to begin the second leg of the film’s shooting.

In the meantime, Rohit has conceived a short film titled ‘The Dilwale Drift’, featuring an amazing car sequence to give fans a taste of what to expect from the film.

“The short film is more like a trailer to a perfect film. There is so much more in the film itself. In fact, there is a particular underwater action sequence by Shahrukh.  It is something Rohit has not tried out before,” the source added.

‘Dilwale’ is the second film where Rohit and Shahrukh are working together, their first being ‘Chennai Express’. Veteran actors Kabir Bedi, Vinod Khanna and Johnny Lever also star in the movie which is set for Christmas 2015 release.

Underwater action performances were also filmed upon Hrithik Roshan in ‘Bang Bang’ where he launched himself using a propeller jetpack. Aamir Khan also shot an underwater scene in Dhoom 3.
