Shahrukh Khan says his kids are his best friends

Shahrukh seems to be bereft of friends in Bollywood. In a recent interaction, SRK was asked, who his closest friends were. He said his kids are his best friends.

Shahrukh has been around the film industry for two decades. He has good friends in Farah Khan, Juhi Chawla and Karan Johar. Though, he slapped Farah’s Husband Sirish Kunder at Sanjay Dutt’s party, they have made it up now. Also he is co-producing the upcoming movie ‘Student of the Year’ with Karan. He also maintains a good relation with Juhi, who is a partner in his IPL franchise KKR. So it seems strange now, when Shahrukh says he is all alone in Big Bad world of Bollywood.

It was SRK who was once quoted as saying, “Yes, I do have a close circle of friends and I am very fortunate to have them as friends. I feel very close to them I think friends are everything in life after your family. You come across lots of people all the time but you only make very few friends and you have to be true to them otherwise what the point in life is?”

Now he says, “"My kids are my best friends. I read this line somewhere - I love my children not because they are my children but because I have garnered a friendship with them." said SRK who has two children - son Aryan and daughter Suhana. He said this when her daughter Suhana had tied a Friendship Day band on 5th august.

SRK tweeted, “Got a bright orange friendship band from my daughter and a black one from a lovely Russian family outside my house.”

Shahrukh further said, “I am realizing this... as they are getting older, they are my greatest friends. I realized this on Friendship Day and I really enjoy myself with them. I think my mental age is between 12 to 14 years, so it is nice to have two friends that I can ever have.”

Shahrukh made his debut on the big screen with ‘Deewana’, for which he received the Filmfare best male debut award. His claim to fame was though with ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’. He played a rustic young man, who in the quest for success abandons his best friends and girlfriend. Is something similar happening now? We hope not, because King Khan has achieved almost everything now. Or, has he lost respect for his arrogant over-imposing nature, which he displays so often?
