Shahrukh Khan reveals plot of his next project with Imtiaz Ali

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Raees’ was slated to hit screens next month, but in order to avoid a clash with friend Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’, the makers of the crime thriller postponed its release to January next year.

In the meantime, he has taken up a variety of roles and has teamed up with directors Aanand L Rai, Imtiaz Ali and reuniting with close friend Aditya Chopra for three big projects. It has been speculated that the ‘Dilwale’ actor is playing a dwarf, a guide and a warrior respectively in the directors’ movies.

Shah Rukh confirmed about his upcoming screen avatars without naming the directors on his Twitter handle on Saturday. He also, sort of, revealed the plot of his film with Imtiaz.

“I am a Warrior, a Dwarf & a Guide. I am not what I ought to, want or hope to be… I am all that & I am what I am. My two bits on my upcoming ‘roles’,” Shah Rukh tweeted.

Earlier in the day, he hinted about the possible storyline of his project with the ‘Tamasha’ maker with a cryptic tweet. “Revealed Imtiaz Ali story “That u become such an unquestionable part of me, that I can’t find the beginning of ur heart and the end of mine,” King Khan wrote on the micro-blogging site.

From the tweet, it is assumed that the film is going to be a romantic drama. Shah Rukh will reportedly play a Sikh guide in the yet-untitled movie and romance his ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ co-star Anushka Sharma.

Latest reports state that the actor will being shooting for the Imtiaz Ali film first before moving on to Anand L Rai’s flick. He has already allotted dates for the shoot as the script is ready and waiting to go on floors. Imtiaz is expected to start work on the film in July and hopes to release the film by early 2017.

Shah Rukh is currently wrapping up post production work on ‘Raees’, while Anushka Sharma is busy shooting for her home production ‘Phillauri’. She will be next seen opposite Salman in Ali Abbas Zafar’s ‘Sultan’ releasing on the occasion of Eid in July.
