Shahrukh Khan's entry at the shopping malls denied

Shahrukh Khan is over the moon as his latest release ‘Chennai Express’ continues to rule at the box-office. The overjoyed King Khan was supposed to visit shopping malls in Mumbai to promote his movie and to see the response of the fans but the owners of the multiplexes denied permission as it many create a ruckus.

Shahrukh Khan has a huge fan following. Possibility was high that on spotting their favorite star near them, crowd will go berserk and so to avoid any sort of mishap, Shahrukh’s entry was rejected for his safety. 

On Independence Day, he was to visit theatres across the city, as the owners of High Street Phoenix mall in Lower Parel asked him not to visit. “On the holiday the mall was expecting around 1.5 lakh people throughout the day. The owners restricted the star and his entourage, lest his visit cause a ruckus,” says a source close to the actor.

The mall had suffered serious damage when Salman Khan had visited when 'Ek Tha Tiger' released in 2012, reveals the source. “Have to avoid visiting PVR Phoenix Kurla and PVR Phoenix Lower Parel. Independenceday rush etc.Will see you at rest of the enlisted theaters (sic),” Shah Rukh posted on Twitter.

Released on 9th August on the occasion of Eid, Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’ crossed 156.70 at the box-office.
