Shahrukh Khan attends father-in-law’s funeral
Gauri Khan’s father Ramesh Chandra Chibber passed away on Tuesday night and Shahrukh Khan flew all the way to Delhi to pay his last respect to his father-in-law who was a retired Colonel from the Indian Army. In the wee hours of the morning, Shahrukh Khan landed in Delhi to attend the funeral of his father-in-law, Ramesh Chandra Chibber.
Ramesh Chandra Chibber was unwell for the past few weeks and Gauri was by the side of her ailing father who was admitted at the Escorts hospital in New Delhi.
On landing in Delhi, SRK arrived at the Lodhi Crematorium with his mother-in-law, Savita Chibber. Holding her hand and leading her inside, Shahrukh was spotted consoling his mother-in-law throughout.
Shahrukh was extremely fond of his father-in-law and upon receiving the news of his departure,Shahrukh immediately left for Delhi putting all his assignments on hold.
Shahrukh was
accompanied by his close friend and filmmaker Karan Johar to the crematorium.
"Death is the only reminder of life," Karan tweeted on Wednesday.
