Shahrukh, Aishwarya to welcome royal couple Kate-William

The British royal couple, Kate Middleton and Prince William, formally known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, will make a trip to India next week and in Mumbai the royal couple will be welcomed by two big superstars of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Both Ash and Shahrukh Khan are known globally and they will welcome the royal couple at a Bollywood charity event.

Kate and William will visit the Taj Mahal Hotel, which was targeted by the terrorist in 26/11. The royal couple will lay a garland and interact with the staff members who saved the lives of the guests.

William and Kate will also visit the one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal in Agra. It will be an emotional moment for Prince William because his mother late Princess Diana years back in 1992 made a solo trip to the Taj.

A photograph of her seated alone on a bench in front of the Taj Mahal sparked the report of Diana's troubled marriage to Prince Charles. They couple got divorced in 1996.

"He feels incredibly lucky to visit a place where his mother's memory is kept alive by so many who travel there," the Cambridges' communications secretary Jason Knauf said. "Twenty-four years on from her visit to the Taj, the duke and the duchess are looking forward to seeing this beautiful place for themselves and creating some new memories as they say thank you to the people of India at the conclusion of this tour."

During their trip to India, Kate and William will also pay their tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Smriti in New Delhi.

To mark Prince William's work in conservation, the couple will also visit the Kaziranga National Park in Assam, which is very famous for the one horned rhino, an endangered species.  In Bhutan, William and Kate will meet the king and queen and also travel to Paro Taktsang, the Tiger's Nest monastery that dates to 1692.
