Shahid Kapoor’s Facebook account hacked; restored overnight

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor became the latest victim of Internet hack. The ‘Jab We Met’ actor discovered that his Facebook account was hacked on Sunday night. However, it was restored overnight.

Shahid shared the information with his fans and followers on Twitter. “Facebook account has been restored .. Ganpati Baapa Morya !!” the actor posted.

Earlier on Sunday night, the ‘Haider’ actor wrote about the hack on the micro-blogging site.

“my Facebook account has been hacked and will be restored shortly . If you see anything ambiguous please know it's not me,” he tweeted.

However, no irregular activity was detected and Shahid could restore the account before matters got worse.

This is not the first time a celebrity’s social media account has been hacked. Late last month, Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter handle was hacked and Big B was shocked to find that his account was ‘following’ some sex sites.

In February 2012, filmmaker Karan Johar’s Twitter account was hacked, so was actor-producer Kamaal Rashid Khan’s. While Karan’s account was sending out direct messages, hackers posted lewd messages from KRK’s Twitter handle. Actors Neil Nitin Mukesh, Arbaaz Khan, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and Pakistani singer-actor Ali Zafar have also been victims of Internet hack in the past.

Meanwhile, Shahid is busy with the promotion of his film ‘Shaandaar’ in which he will be seen romancing Alia Bhatt. The film is set hit screens on October 22 on the occasion of Dushera.
