Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan to debut with ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ adaptation

Shahid Kapoor’s younger brother Ishaan Khattar will be making his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s big screen adaption of John Green’s novel ‘The Fault in Our Stars’. The book was also adapted into the eponymous Hollywood drama of 2014.

Ishaan, who is currently in Kashmir will start preparing for the film once he is back in Mumbai. He will be cast opposite Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara, according to a leading daily. Earlier, there were rumours that Ishaan will debut with the sequel of ‘Student of the Year’ with Sara and Sridevi's daughter Jhanvi Kapoor. However, only time will tell about the authenticity of the rumours.

Shahid and Ishaan’s mother Neelima Azim had also hinted about her younger son’s debut. In an interview with DNA, the yesteryear actress and Kathak dancer said, "I can’t talk about Ishaan’s debut as the makers have their own plans of making an announcement. All I can say is that I am thrilled that my second child, too, is becoming an actor."

Ishaan has also worked as an assistant director on Shahid's upcoming film ‘Udta Punjab’. Speaking about his little brother, Shahid has said, "He’s a hard working boy. The other day he sent me a nice picture of him giving the clap for my first shot in Udta Punjab as Tommy Singh, cutting a line of coke inside a Range Rover with a Rs 100 note. That’s a cute moment. We have a difference of 14 years between us. For me he’s more like a kid."

Shahid has reportedly been working with Ishaan on building a body fit for the big screen. Ishaan too is a trained dancer from Shiamak Davar's dance academy like his elder brother.

An official confirmation in this regard is yet to be made.
