Shahid Kapoor to judge ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8’?

If reports are anything to go by, the next season of dance reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ will have have a new set of judges.

Grapevine has it that Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit and filmmaker Karan Johar, who have been on the judge’s panel of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ for a few years now, may not be present to judge the 8th edition of the show.

It is reported that the third judge choreographer-turned director Remo D’ Souza has quit ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, that airs on Colors television. The makers of the show, who are hunting for suitable replacement, have approached actor Shahid Kapoor to take the place of Remo.

If Shahid makes it to the judge’s panel of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’ season 8, then it will mark the actor’s television debut, besides adding star power to the show.

The ‘Haider’ actor is known to be a talented dancer, but he seems to be taking a little long to decide whether or not to take up the project. His packed schedule could be an impediment.

Shahid is busy with his film commitments like Vikas Bahl’s ‘Shaandaar’, Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Udta Punjab’, both co-starring Alia Bhatt, crime thriller ‘Farzi’ opposite Kirti Sanon and Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Rangoon’. He is also preparing for his marriage which will take place in Greece on June 10.

Shahid, who debuted in Bollywood in Ken Ghosh’s romantic film ‘Ishq Vishk’ in 2003, won the Filmfare Best Actor award for his role in Vishal Bharadwaj’s critically acclaimed film ‘Haider’.
