Shahid says he loves celebrating birthday. “Yes, of course. I love celebrating birthdays. It’s fun. At different times in life, I have celebrated it in different ways. But there’s always a cake and a lot of screaming, shouting and dancing around!”, he quips.

This is Shahid’s first birthday after becoming dad and when asked how’s the feeling with Misha around him this birthday. The actor smilingly said, “Yes, but at least this year, I will still get to cut my birthday cake myself!”.

The actor also talked about the best birthday gift, he have received, “Actually, there are many… it’s difficult to choose one. I like personalised gifts more… that’s when people think of something attached or connected to you rather than just a piece of clothing or something”, he said.

Walking down the memory lane, Shahid Kapoor also talked about the days when he had no money to celebrate his birthday. “It wasn’t weird, actually. But I was a teenager and I was broke. So I was sitting at home, watching TV. Then I remember a couple of my friends came and took me out. They basically celebrated with me and spent money on me. It wasn’t weird but it was my weirdest birthday till the time my friends came because I had no money to go out and enjoy. That’s something I will remember”, the actor remembers.

On the work front, Shahid’s new film ‘Rangoon’ hits the theatres on Friday and he is currently working for ‘Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’.
