Shahid Kapoor's rugged look from ‘Rangoon’ sets


Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who was shooting for his upcoming movie ‘Rangoon’ in Arunachal Pradesh, has returned to Mumbai recently. The actor said it was the “most demanding and exhausting schedule” of the movie.

Shahid, who plays an army officer in the film has shared a picture of him from the sets in which is almost unrecognisable. “Finally back after the most demanding and exhausting sched of my life. #rangoondiaries,” the actor captioned the image on Instagram.

Wearing combat trousers, sporting heavy beard and unkempt, Shahid looks rugged and dusty in the new picture.

Shahid has undergone huge physical transformation to fit into his role as a soldier in the period drama. The ‘Shaandaar’ actor has been following a rigorous work-out session and training hard for the film. Shahid spent an hour each day doing dumbbell swing and side bridge exercises, according to a leading daily.

‘Rangoon’ is a love triangle set in the backdrop of World War II. It also stars Kangana Ranaut in the role of a film star named Julie, and Saif Ali Khan who plays a filmmaker.

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘Rangoon’ is slated to release on October 14.
