Watch: Shah Rukh Khan takes a dig on Alia Bhatt on ‘Koffee with Karan’

Alia Bhatt, who became the butt of jokes after her debut on Karan Johar’s chat show ‘Koffee with Karan’, once again became the target of Shah Rukh Khan’s joke. The ‘Dear Zindagi’ co-stars, who are the first guests on the season five of the popular chat show, have already shot for the episode.

Karan has shared a snippet from the first episode, which showed the filmmaker speaking about the incident which made the ‘Student of the Year’ actress the target of trolls.

In the video clip, Karan asks the ‘Dilwale’ actor what if he woke up as Alia Bhatt. Shah Rukh promptly replies, “I will just read the newspaper.” To this Alia says, “People are changing on the couch."

Host KJo jokingly tells Alia that the show has largely contributed to her being “infamous,” and Alia was almost in tears. She says, "I want to cry. I swear, tears will come."

The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director then turns to his buddy Shah Rukh and says that he couldn’t make it last season. To this, Shah Rukh makes a witty reply saying, "Because I wanted the TRP to drop a little of this show."

‘Koffee with Karan – Season 5’ will begin airing from November 6, every Sunday at 9 pm on Star World.

Meanwhile, Alia and Shah Rukh will be seen in Gauri Shinde’s directorial ‘Dear Zindagi’, which also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Angad Bedi and Kunal Kapoor. The movie is slated to release on November 25.
