Shah Rukh Khan calls Farah Khan, Karan Johar “wannabe actors”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan shares a cordial relationship with almost everyone in the film industry. Filmmakers Karan Johar and Farah Khan are known to be among his closest buddies and he had worked in some of their respective films.

But King Khan has called them “wannabe actors” and that the two directors were always more keen to be front of the camera.

Incidentally, Karan made his acting debut as an antagonist in Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Bombay Velvet’, Farah was the leading lady in 2012 romantic comedy ‘Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi’ opposite Boman Irani.

The revelation came after Karan posted a picture of him with Shah Rukh and Farah on the sets of his 2001 film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’ on Twitter. Karan was reminded of the film’s song ‘Sooraj Hua Madham’ after watching Shah Rukh and Kajol in the newly released song ‘Gerua’ from their upcoming film ‘Dilwale’.

The ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ director was reminiscent of the good old days when the trio had shot for the extremely romantic popular song. He posted an old photograph in which he and Farah are seen posing while Shah Rukh takes a picture of them.

“Seeing the stunning and exotically executed #gerua bought back so many memories!! @TheFarahKhan @iamsrk,” Karan tweeted.

The Bollywood ‘badshah’ replied to his tweet with tongue-in-cheek humour by calling his buddies "wannabe actors."

“U two were even then more keen to b in front of the camera rather than behind it. Such wannabe actors u both are!!” read his post.

The song ‘Gerua’ from the Rohit Shetty directorial has been compared to ‘Sooraj Hua Madham’ ever since it was launched on Wednesday, November 18. Both the songs has been choreographed by Farah Khan.

The song has been shot in Iceland and the visuals are a delight to watch with glimpses of lush green mountains tops, waterfalls, rainbow and a wrecked plane on a deserted spot, topped with the incomparable chemistry of Shah Rukh and Kajol.

‘Dilwale’, alos starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon among others, is set to hit screens on December 18.
