Kapil Sharma hospitalised; SRK-Anushka leave show

Although ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ has just taken a turn for the better after a brief lull, things don’t seem to be going on too well with its host and comedian Kapil Sharma. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma recently visited the sets to promote their upcoming film ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, but had to leave without shooting the episode.

Apparently, Kapil fainted and had to be hospitalised, following which the shoot had to be cancelled. A report in Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, "Kapil had to shoot with actor Shah Rukh Khan for ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ on Friday night (July 7), but he fainted on the sets during the shoot. He is under a lot of stress because of the show and is doing everything possible to keep it on top of the TRP. This stress took a toll on him and the shoot had to get cancelled."

The source further said, "Even when the cast of ‘Guest Iin London’ had come to promote the film, Kapil was unwell and the shoot had to be stopped. He has been thinking a lot lately about the show and it has started affecting his health."

‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ had suffered a set-back after the infamous mid-air brawl when Kapil allegedly abused and hurled a shoe at fellow comedian Sunil Grover. While Sunil walked out, Ali Asgar and others followed suit. However, Chandan Prabhakar recently re-joined the show. Adding to this, even popular comedienne Bharti Singh and her fiancé Harsh Limbachiyaa has also joined Kapil’s team.

However, the reason for Kapil’s stress seems to be the new show titled ‘The Drama Company’. The show, which will soon start airing on Sony TV just before Kapil’s show, features his rival Krushna Abhishek and former members of his team, including creative director Preeti Simoes and actors Sugandha Mishra, Sanket Bhosle among others.

"Now, with comedian Krushna Abhishek's new show on the same channel, things have become tougher for Kapil," the source added.
