Seven reasons that make ‘Brothers’ worth the watch

Akshay Kumar and Siddharth Malhotra starrer film ‘Brothers’ releases on the eve of Independence day. From the look of lead cast in the teaser trailer and posters, it is evident that a lot of hard work has gone into its making. An official remake of Hollywood film ‘Warrior’, the film has been directed by Karan Malhotra and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios.

Here are some reasons why ‘Brothers’ could be a box office winner:

Karan Malhotra:

‘Brothers’ is a remake film and Karan’s debut directorial venture ‘Agneepath’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt was also a remake of a 1990 film of the same name that featured Amitabh Bachchan and Danny Denzongpa. Karan has proved that he can do wonders with a remake and audience are curious to know how the Indianised version of ‘Warrior’ will turn out.

Akshay Kumar:

‘Brothers’ is an action-drama and action is definitely Akshay’s forte. This time he will not only flaunt his hot body, but also the tattoos inked on him. He is playing a father of an ailing child for whose treatment he has to fight it out in the ring.

Moreover, after two successful films this year – ‘Baby’ and ‘Gabbar Is Back’, the ‘Khiladi’ is surely looking forward to ‘Brothers’ for a hat-trick.

Siddharth Malhotra:

Siddharth who began his career with Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’ has so far appeared only in romantic, serious and brooding roles. In ‘Brothers’ the actor will seen doing action stunts for the first time. In fact, Siddharth has gained extra kilos to fit in the role of a fighter.

Jacqueline Fernandez:

The Sri Lankan beauty Jacqueline will be seen in the role of a mother and a wife for the first time in her career. This role is a challenge for her as an actress. In all her films so far, she played glamorous roles, but this film will portray a new side of her and it will be interesting to see how she fares.

Jackie Shroff and Ashutosh Rana:

Veteran actor Jackie Shroff who plays the father of Akshay and Siddharth’s characters, is an experienced artiste and so is Ashutosh.

Naisha Khanna:

The little girl who plays the daughter of Akshay and Jacqueline is someone to watch out for. Harshaali Malhotra of Salman Khan starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ had won every heart with her performance. Now it is the turn of Naisha make her mark.

Music:

From ‘Mera naan Mary’ featuring a sizzling Kareena Kapoor to the ‘Brothers Anthem’ and the emotional ‘Sapna jahan’, the film’s music album composed by Ajay-Atul is a good mix.
