See Pics: Karan Johar takes his twins, Yash and Roohi home

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s twins Yash and Roohi were finally discharged from the hospital and the ecstatic dad took them home. Few pictures of Karan taking his babies home were doing the round on net. The pictures shows Karan is holding one of his babies while a lady was carrying his another baby. In one of them, the face of the babies was also revealed but it was not too clear. Yash and Roohi were born via surrogacy.

Since their birth on February 7, the babies have been admitted at the NICU as they were born premature. Amid tight security, Karan took his babies home.

When Karan shared the good news of his babies in March, he wrote, "I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science."

He has written about the twins' birth, "My children were born two months premature and worryingly underweight. Like any person in this situation and on the brink of fatherhood, my heart sank. Knowing that there were complications with my babies birth owing to how soon it was, I was terrified. All I wanted to do was hold them and protect them but they needed to be in the NICU. It was painful to see how tiny they were”.

Karan promised to share the picture of his babies very soon. Karan was very worried as his babies were born premature and were in the NICU. "All I wanted to do was hold them and protect them but they needed to be in the NICU. It was painful to see how tiny they were…" he had written on Twitter.

Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Ayaan Mukherji, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have all visited the twins at hopsital.

Dr Bhupendra Avasthi from Surya Hospital, said the babies were kept at the NICU because they were premature, Yash and Roohi weighed less than 1.5kg each at birth. “Being born in the 29th week, the babies were very small and weak. However, post treatment, they have gained sufficient weight,” he said.

Doctors added that Karan frequently visited the babies at the hospital. “He got emotional every time he saw them. He is a very humble and loving person,” Dr Avasthi said.
