Alia Bhatt, who is currently shooting in Bulgaria with Ranbir Kapoor for ‘Brahmastra’ injured her right arm and shoulder while filming an action sequence. The actress will be out of action for two weeks. The ‘Highway’ actress was advised rest for the coming few weeks.

A source informed, "The team was shooting for a scene when Alia fell and hurt herself. She has injured her right shoulder and arm. There’s a clot on her arm, so she has been advised bed rest.  As a result, the actress will be out of action for a few weeks. She is in a lot of pain. Her right arm is bandaged and held up in a sling, so she can’t exert it or her shoulder for the next 15 days."

The ‘Brahmastra’ team planned to wrap-up the Bulgaria shooting schedule and return to India by this month end but Ali’s injury spilled water their plan. “In the current scenario, Alia can’t film any stunt sequences. She can only shoot for close-up scenes and the team is checking if they would need any right now,” told the source to the daily.

Despite the injury, the 25-year-old won’t be returning to India, Alia is so passionate and dedicated to her work that she decided to stay back and do her bit for completing the Bulgaria shooting schedule.

Sources from the set informed that she is refrained from doing action scenes because this might exaggerate her injury.

For the last few months, Alia Bhatt has been working round the clock. First she concluded the first shooting schedule of ‘Gully Boys’ with Ranveer Singh and then joined the team of ‘Brahmastra’ helmed by Ayan Mukherji and bankrolled by Dharma productions.

Get well soon, Alia!
