Sara Ali Khan to play Irrfan Khan’s daughter in ‘Hindi Medium 2’

It is strongly buzzed that Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan has signed her second film. She will tentatively play Irrfan Khan’s daughter in the sequel to the critically acclaimed film, ‘Hindi Medium’. As per the latest report, Sara has been roped in to play Irrfan Khan’s daughter but Saba Qamar, who portrayed Irrfan's wife will not be seen in the sequel.

Irrfan will reprise the role of Raj Batra, a rich Delhi-based businessman who struggles to get his daughter admitted in an English medium school while Sara will play his teenage daughter Pia in 'Hindi Medium 2'. 

A source informed, "Sara is one of the top contenders to play the daughter”.

When asked about the sequel, producer Dinesh Vijan told, "I have just finished the script and I am going to get into the casting now."

According to a source close informed, “The makers are really keen on Sara who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh’s former business partner who collaborated with him on films like Being Cyrus, Love Aaj Kal, Agent Vinod, Cocktail, Go Goa Gone and Happy Ending. Her mother, Amrita Singh, has played the principal of the English medium Delhi Grammar School in the original.”

Based on the educational system of India, the film will be produced by Vijan and T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar.

The film is expected to go on floors in August this year.

Currently, Sara is working on her debut film, 'Kedarnath' alongside Sushant Singh Rajput, helmed by Abhishek Kapoor.
