Sara Ali Khan to debut with Aamir Khan's ‘Thugs of Hindostan’?

There has been a lot of words surrounding Sara Ali Khan’s big Bollywood debut, and the latest buzz is that she might get a break in Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.

YRF’s ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ is one of the most anticipated films as it brings together on screen for the first time two of Bollywood’s biggest names – Aamir and senior Bachchan. However, the makers are still hunting for a suitable female lead for the film.

According to a popular portal, Aamir is keen to cast Sara, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Previously, Shraddha Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vaani Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were also considered for the role. Even Fatima Sana Sheikh, who made her debut as the on-screen daughter of Aamir in the All Time Blockbuster ‘Dangal’, had also expressed her desire to reunite with Aamir in the film.

If at all Sara is roped in for the movie, then it will be like history repeating itself. Yash Chopra had launched her father Saif in 1993 film ‘Parampara’, and now the late filmmaker’s son Aditya Chopra will be giving a break to Saif’s daughter.

Speculations of Sara’s debut have been rife for a long time now. It was said that Karan Johar will launch her in ‘Student of the Year 2’ opposite Tiger Shroff. There was also news that she will debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’, but Alia Bhatt was later confirmed for the role. Then reports surfaced that Sara will play the leading lady in in Karan Malhotra’s upcoming comedy-drama starring Hrithik Roshan, to be produced by Karan’s Dharma Productions. And if the star kid indeed kicks off her career with ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, then it would be a dream debut for her as she will get to work with powerful stalwarts of the industry.

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ will be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya aka ‘Victor’, of ‘Dhoom’ fame. The movie is a period love story, an adaptation of Philip Meadows Taylor’s novel ‘Confessions of A Thug’, set in India in 1832. It will reportedly, derive inspiration from Hollywood’s ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ series.
