Sara Ali Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput offer prayers at Kedarnath


Sara Ali Khan is all set to kick-start the shooting of her debut venture ‘Kedarnath’ and the new debutante headed to Kedarnath to seek the blessing of Lord Shiva for her first film, ‘Kedarnath’. The pictures circulated on net shows Sara Ali Khan and her co-star Sushant Singh Rajput visited the holy place.

In the pictures, Sara Ali Khan is seen dressed in a blue traditional outfit paired with a black jacket escorted by security me at the temple while Sushant wore a white full-sleeve t-shirt paired with denims.

‘Kedarnath’ directed by Abhisek Kapoor will narrate a story that happens during a pilgrimage.

Kapoor in an interview to Bombay Times had said, "Kedarnath is a love story that unfolds during the course of a pilgrimage. It's important for me to look within and soak in the vast beauty of our country, culture and stories. India is a treasure trove of spiritual experiences that I want to present to the audience. This is a story that the world would love to watch."

It will be produced by Ekta Kapoor under her banner Balaji Motion Pictures. It is said that Ekta, who shares a good rapport with Amrita Singh convinced her to launch Sara. The film will also bring together Sushant with Abhishek who had earlier directed him in his debut ‘Kai Po Che!’.

Talking about casting Sara in his film, Abhishek earlier told, "Casting newcomers is a natural process. We will tell stories with those who fit our vision the best. Sara is a beautiful bundle of energy. The talent we bring in today will be the future of the industry”.

The motion poster shows Shiva’s Trishul with the grandiose Himalayas in the background. The poster is captioned: “Love is a pilgrimage.”

Producer Bhusan Kumar said, "Kedarnath is a very prestigious film. It's a love story set in the land of Shiva, of whom, I am strong believer. My devotion towards Lord Shiva is utmost and this further makes this film very special ". Abhishek Kapoor's cousin Ekta Kapoor from Balaji Motion Pictures is also on board as a producer and said, "The film is an emotional and riveting story set in India's heartland, where raw romance unfolds amidst the beauty of Kedarnath. Moreover, the solid collaboration backing the film further adds to the excitement."

‘Kedarnath’ is all set to hit the screens in 2018.
