Sanjay Dutt gets 30 days parole for daughter’s nose surgery

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt was granted parole yet again and this time for his daughter Iqra’s nose surgery. Convicted in 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts, Sanjay was serving the remaining years of jail term at Pune Yerawada jail. Dutt has applied for parole for daughter’s illness in June. Sanjay Dutt will be out of jail for 30 days in couple of days.

Sanjay Dutt was last out of jail in December. He then applied for extension but was reject and had to return back after his parole ended. Between May 2013 and 2014, Mr Dutt spent about 118 days out of prison. Earlier, it was reported that the actor’s parole application is under process but now it got confirmed.

Dutt’s frequent in and out of jail invited huge uproar and it led for thorough investigation.

The parole application was sanctioned by the Pune divisional commissioner

“We have been informed that the Pune divisional commissioner has approved the parole application and Dutt will be out after completing the formalities. The 30-day exemption is granted to the convicts with the good conduct during the term. However, the four day’s addition in the ‘punishment’ for reporting two days late after the completion of 14-day leave sought under furlough in January this year may play a spoilsport. Punishment of four days may result in rejection of the 30-day remission as the convict with any ‘punishment’ is not considered for exemption, writes Vijay Satbir Singh, Principal Secretary, (Home).

Sanjay Dutt, who was last seen in Aamir Khan's 2014 hit ‘PK’ will walk free at the end of this year.
