Sanjay Dutt fractures his rib on the set of ‘Bhoomi’

While shooting an action sequence for his upcoming film, ‘Bhoomi’ in Chambal, Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt fractured his ribs. The action sequence required Sanju Baba to fight with 20 men.

The producer of the film Sandeep Singh informed that Sanjay had to jump and land on the ground for the scene when he hit his chest with his elbow.

The crew is planned to shoot incessantly for seven days in Chambal. “We just gave him some ice and continued to shoot as he did not reveal the level of pain he must have felt. We even had to retake the shot and we did. Later, it started paining a lot and we called a doctor. Even after the X Ray was done and we got to know that there is a hairline fracture, Sanjay came on the sets and insisted that we continue the shoot,” the producer said.

“We told him that we should take a break for three days, but he didn’t agree. Finally, we had to tell him that it is an off, just to ensure he takes some rest. Tomorrow again, we have a shoot near Rajasthan border and we are apprehensive of how things will turn out,” he added.

‘Bhoomi’, directed by Omung Kumar marks Sanjay Dutt’s first film after returning from jail. The film features Aditi Rao Hydari as Dutt’s daughter. Shekhar Suman, Sharad Kelkar and TV actor Sidhant Gupta are also part of ‘Bhoomi’.

‘Bhoomi’ is a revenge drama that revolves around a father daughter relationship. The film is shot entirely in Uttar Pradesh.
