Salman Khan’s ‘Bigg Boss 10’ premiere date revealed

The promo of much awaited reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ was released recently and it showed host Salman Khan as an astronaut. The promo has already created a lot of excitement and curiosity amongst the show’s ardent viewers. Now, the date for the show’s premiere has also been revealed.

While an official confirmation about the launch date is yet to be made, reports suggest that ‘Bigg Boss 10’ might go on airs from October 16.

Salman, who has been hosting the show since its season four, will reprise his role for the upcoming season as well. He will be juggling between his Bollywood project ‘Tubelight’ being directed by Kabir Khan and the reality show.  He will be shooting for ‘Bigg Boss 10’ on weekends.

Meanwhile, the ‘Sultan’ actor has shot for more promos for the reality show. In one promo, he emulates action hero Indiana Jones with a desi twist, and is seen dancing with a ‘mashaal’ (torch) in hand. In the other, he reprises his wrestler avatar from his latest blockbuster 'Sultan'. These promos will be telecast till the show kicks off. 

The show this time will have common people as participants. But it is not known whether this season will also have celebrities along with commoners. The contestants were selected after aspiring candidates posted three-minute videos of them on the show’s official website, showcasing a trait that made them eligible for the show.

While the names of contestants have not been revealed, a couple of names of potential participants are doing the rounds. They include Santosh Bateshwar Ray, who was slapped by Govinda eight years ago and Balraj Singh Khehra, who won "MTV Roadies X4. Late Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch was also approached for the show before being murdered by her brother in July this year.
