Salman Khan will sing for Ravi Chopra’s Baabul

After putting off the task for quite a while and continuous pursuit, Salman Khan has finally agreed to sing for Ravi Chopra’s Baabul. Composer Aadesh Srivastava will compose the song. Though Salman Khan is busy shooting for his other films, he has taken out time to rehearse for the song.
Aadesh has been after Salman to sing for quite some time now, says a source. But Salman said, “Array where I’ll sing, I do not have the voice to sing.” But Srivastava told Salman not to worry, that he would take care of everything and all he had to do was stand in front of the mic. Salman finally relented and agreed to sing a song for the film because of his amazing rapport with director Ravi Chopra and his unit.

The song is a sensitive number based on a father-son relationship. This song will be picturized on Amitabh Bachchan and Salman Khan. Incidentally, Amitabh has also lent his voice for portions of this song. Amitabh has already recorded his part of the song earlier on with Aadesh Srivastava. This composer has made many stars sing, he has made Kareena Kapoor sing for Govind Nihalani’s movie Dev. This is not the first time that actor Salman Khan will be taking to the mic, he has sung the number ‘Chandi Ki Dal Par Sone Ka Mor’ for his home production ‘Hello Brother’.

The story of Baabul revolves around a father-son relationship. Salman Khan is the son of Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. Amitabh is a rich businessman and Hema is more than just his better half. Salman meets Rani who is a painter; they fall in love and get married. But fate takes a cruel twist.

The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Salman Khan, Rani Mukherjee, John Abraham, Om Puri, Aman Verma, Parmeet Sethi, Rajpal Yadav and Smita Jaykar. Salman Khan’s other forthcoming movies include Saanwariya, Saawan, Marigold, Jaaneman and Salaam-E-Ishq. Here’s wishing Sallu good luck behind the mic.
