Salman Khan to play villain in ‘Dhoom:4’, ‘Race 3’?

Superstar Salman Khan who has appeared as a lover-boy and an action star in his movies so far, will be seen in the role of a villain in his upcoming projects.

According to reports, the makers of ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Race’ franchises have approached the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor for the next instalments of the movies. If Salman gives his green signal to the projects, fans will get to see him in the role of a baddie for the first time. The actor too is keen on doing different kind of roles.

“Salman wants to play a cool, stylish villain. He has never played one before. His negative role in ‘Race 3’ is almost finalised, but discussions are still on with Aditya Chopra for ‘Dhoom:4’. The issue is a financial one where Salman wants a stake in ‘Dhoom:4’, just like Aamir (Khan) had in ‘Dhoom:3’. Salman wants the same profit-sharing ratio that was offered to the Dhoom:3 star. Once that is finalised, he’s on,” a leading daily quoted a source as saying.

Trade Analyst Girish Johar had also tweeted about the news writing, “Super Exclusive !!! @BeingSalmanKhan may play a negative lead …baddie in #Race3 ….DHAAAMAAAKAAA.”

However, a source close to ‘Race’ series producer Ramesh S. Taurani stated that the cast for the franchise’s third instalment is yet to be decided. “The scripting for ‘Race 3’ is still on and no cast is finalised as yet, including the directors,” the source revealed.

Meanwhile, Salman is busy shooting for his Eid release ‘Sultan’ in which he plays a Haryanvi wrestler named Sultan Ali Khan. The movie also stars Anushka Sharma who will also be seen in the role of a wrestler, as well as Randeep Hooda in the role of a coach.
